This is the first time the tournament has been held since 2015, when it was held as a WTA Challenger, and before that 2013, when as a WTA Premier level event, wildcard Samantha Stosur (5) defeated Victoria Azarenka (1) 6-2 6-3 in the final.
First round results:
- CoCo Gauff (6) defeated qualifier Robin Montgomery 6-3 6-3 after play resumed from previous day
Second round results:
- Jessica Pegula (4) defeated wildcard CoCo Vandeweghe 6-3 6-1
- Qualifier Donna Vekic defeated Karolina Pliskova 6-3 6-2
- Danielle Collins defeated Martina Trevisan 6-2 6-4
