ATP - Tokyo

The ATP tour continues in Japan.

2022 Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships, an ATP 500 tournament, on Hard, in Tokyo, Japan, 3-9 October 2022.
Not held in 2020-2021 due to COVID

2019 champion (not defending):
Novak Djokovic (1) who defeated qualifier John Millman 6-3 6-2


The following players withdrew after entering but before the main draw was published:


- Jenson Brooksby replaced by Tseng Chun-hsin 

- Marcos Giron replaced by Kamil Majchrzak 

- Joao Sousa replaced by Steve Johnson 

- Alexander Zverev replaced by Alexei Popyrin 


Casper Ruud, world number 3, is top seed.

The other 7 seeds are all in the top 25
