Djokovic led Sinner 3-1 in head to head matches before the final,

Sinner winning the last clash - the round robin match earlier in this tournament.

In this final Djokovic broke Sinner in game four to take a 3-1 lead.

No more break opportunities and Djokovic served out the set 6-3.

Only two unforced errors from the world number one so far.

Djokovic broke Sinner to love in the opening game of set two.

Sinner saved three break points in game three before holding.

He trailed 1-2.

Djokovic saved two break points in game six and held for 4-2.

Sinner saved two break points in the next game which went to deuce eight times.

He held and trailed 3-4.

Serving at 3-5 to stay in the match, Sinner was broken, and Djokovic won 6-3 6-3.

It was the seventh ATP Finals trophy win for Novak Djokovic and the seventh tournament victory for 2023, including three majors.

The eighth year he has finished as the world number one.

Humbert broke in the fourth game of the opening set to lead 3-1.

No more break chances and Humbert took the set 6-3.

Shevchenko saved two break points in game five of set two before holding.

However he was broken in game seven.

Humbert saved a break point in the following game but eventually consolidated for 5-3.

Serving to stay in the match, Shevchenko led 40-15, but was worn down by Humbert.

One match point was saved - not a second and the contest concluded.

Ugo Humbert won 6-3 6-3, to claim his fourth ATP Tour title, and first since Halle in June 2021.

The victory took Humbert to a new career high ranking of #20.

On serve for twelve points and it was 6-6.

Mannarino won the next two points and the set 7-6(6).

Draper broke Mannarino in the opening game of set two.

Draper broke again in the fifth game for a 4-1 lead.

Serving at 1-5 to stay in the set, Mannarino held.

Draper then served a love game and won the set 6-2.

Mannarino broke in the sixth game of the decider and led 4-2.

Draper served at 2-5 to stay in the match and he held on.

Mannarino saved two break back points when serving for the match and managed to convert his first match point.

The 7-6(6) 2-6 6-3 victory gave Adrian Mannarino his fifth title - three this year.following Newport in July and Astana in September.

Swiatek led the head to head 5-3 before the final, but Pegula won two of the three meetings this year.

This included the most recent - semi final in Montreal in August.

Swiatek broke Pegula in both games four and six of the opening set to lead 5-1.

She served out the set 6-1.

Set two was no better for Pegula, broken in each of games one, three and five.

Serving for the match at 5-0, Swiatek faced a break point for the first time in the match.

This was saved and Iga Swiatek proceeded to close out the match 6-1 6-0.

The victory allowed Swiatek to overtake Aryna Sabalenka and finish 2023 as Number 1.
