WTA - Warsaw 2R start

Second round commenced in Warsaw.
Including completion of first round matches.

2022 BNP Paribas Poland Open, a WTA 250 tournament, on Clayin Warsaw, Poland, 25-31 July 2022.

Defending champion:
Maryna Zanevska who defeated Kristina Kucova 6-4 7-6(4)

Second seed Yulia Putintseva withdrew after the main draw was published due to a wrist injury, and was replaced by lucky loser Kateryna Baindl.
Baindl took the place in the draw previously allocated to a qualifier.
Third seed Sara Sorribes Tormo withdrew after the main draw was published, and was replaced by lucky loser Gabriela Lee.
Lee took the place in the draw previously allocated to a qualifier.
Fourth seed Irina-Camelia Begu withdrew after the main draw was published due to a change in schedule, and was replaced by lucky loser Laura Pigossi.
Maryna Zanevska was instated as eleventh seed and moved in the draw to the place previously occupied by Begu.

First round results:
- Lucky loser Gabriela Lee defeated qualifier Raluka Serban 3-6 6-2 7-5 after play resumed from previous day 
- Kristina Mladenovic defeated Anna Bondar (6) 1-6 7-5 7-6(8) after play resumed from previous day
- Lucky loser Kateryna Baindl defeated Maryna Zanevska (11) 6-3 6-3 after play resumed from previous day

- Iga Swiatek (1) defeated Magdalena Frech 6-1 6-2
- Elisabetta Cocciaretto defeated wildcard Martyna Kubka 6-2 6-3
- Petra Martic (8) defeated wildcard Weronika Falkowska 7-5 6-4
- Qualifier Sara Errani defeated Arantxa Rus 6-1 5-7 6-4

Second round results:
- Ana Bogdan defeated Katerina Siniakova 6-0 6-4
- Lucky loser Laura Pigossi defeated Nadia Podoroska 3-6 6-0 6-4
