Martic wins Lausanne

Final:

Qualifier Olga Danilovic (Serbia) v Petra Martic (Croatia)

Danilovic won the only previous encounter - a first round match at the 2021 Australian Open.

The players were 3-3 in set one after exchanging service breaks.

Danilovic saved six break points in the seventh game, but was broken in the ninth, and that was enough for Martic to serve it out 6-4.

Martic converted the only two break points in set two - one in each of games five and seven.

The set was won 6-2.

Petra Martic won the match 6-4 6-2 to claim the title. 

This was her second title from five finals, her first coming in Istanbul in April 2019.

The victory brings a ranking jump of 30 spots to #55,
