The players met twice previously, with one win apiece.
Potapova won the more recent clash - second round, Istanbul April 2022.
Potapova served first and was broken to love.
Martic consolidated for 2-0.
In a seven deuce game, Potapova saved four break points. She held but trailed 1-2.
Martic saved four break points in the fourth game, but couldn’t save a fifth, and Potapova levelled at 2-2.
Potapova broke again in the eighth game to lead 5-3.
Potapova served out the set 6-3.
Potapova broke serve in the third game of set two and led 2-1.
Martic lost serve again in the fifth game and trailed 1-4.
Serving at 1-5 to stay in the match, Martic was broken once more and the contest was over.
Anastasia Potapova won 6-3 6-1.
This was her second title from five finals, following her win in the Istanbul Cup last year.
Her ranking will move up to a career high of #31.
