Carlos Alcaraz (1) (Spain) v Cameron Norrie (2) (Great Britain)
Alcaraz had a 3-1 record in previous matches against Norrie, although Norrie’s victory was in the most recent contest - the Cincinnati quarter finals last year.
Neither player was taken to deuce until the seventh game of set one.
Alcaraz converted the second of two break points and led 4-3.
Norrie served at 3-5 to stay in the set, but was broken again and Alcaraz took the set 6-3.
Alcaraz broke the Norrie serve in game two of set two and led 2-0.
No other break chances arrived until Alcaraz served for the match at 5-3.
Alcaraz saved the first of two break points but not the second, and Norrie was back on serve at 4-5.
Norrie consolidated the break to level at 5-5.
Norrie served at 5-6 to stay in the match but couldn’t manage it.
Alcaraz broke to finish the match 6-3 7-5 and claim his seventh title.
