Bernarda Pera who defeated wildcard Anett Kontaveit (1) 6-2 6-4
Final:
Wildcard Noma Noha Akugue (Germany) v Arantxa Rus (7) (Netherlands)
First match between the players, and first WTA Tour final for both players.
In set one, Rus broke serve in games two and four.
She then saved a break point in the fifth game before holding for 5-0.
Another break gave Rus the set 6-0.
The players exchanged service breaks in the opening two games of set two.
Akugue saved two break points in the third game and held serve.
No more break chances until Akugue served at 4-5.
Two match points were saved, and eventually a tie break was needed.
After losing the opening point on her own serve, Rus won the next six points.
Akugue saved two of the five match points but Rus won the set and match 6-0 7-6(3).
First title for Arantxa Rus on the WTA Tour, adding to her two titles in the WTA 125K Series this year -
La Bisbal d’Empordá in June and Contrexéville earlier this month.
