Paula Badosa (4) defeated lucky loser Viktoriya Tomova 6-1 6-2
Ana Konjuh defeated qualifier Maria Camila Osorio Serrano 7-6(6) 7-6(4)
Final:
Paula Badosa (4) (Spain) v Ana Konjuh (Croatia)
The pair had met just once before - six years ago in Madrid, where Badosa won a qualifying match.
The fourth seed raced to a 3-0 lead in set one, breaking Konjuh twice.
Although Badosa dropped serve in the fourth game, Konjuh did likewise in the next to trail 4-1.
Konjuh saved a set point when serving at 1-5, but Badosa had no problems taking the set 6-2.
At 0-2 in set two, Konjuh was forced to retire with a hip injury.
This was the first WTA title for Paula Badosa, in her first final.
She moves up to a career high ranking of #34.
