Pegula wins Korea Open

Final:

Wildcard Jessica Pegula (1) (USA) v Yuan Yue (China)

The players had never previously met in a WTA Tour level match.

In the final, Pegula broke the Yuan Yue serve in games five and seven of set one,

She serve out the set 6-2.

There were five breaks of serve in the first six games of set two.

Pegula broke three times and led 4-2.

Serving to stay in the match at 3-5, Yuan Yue was broken again.

Jessica Pegula won the match 6-2 6-3 to claim her fourth title, and second this year following the Canadian Open in August.
