Fernandez won the only previous WTA Tour level match between the players - second round at Roland Garros 2022.
In the final, Siniakova broke serve in game three of the opening set to lead 2-1.
Fernandez saved two break points in game five to avoid going down a double break.
Serving at 3-5 to stay in the set, Fernandez was broken again, and Siniakova took the set 6-3.
Fernandez raced to a 4-0 lead in set two.
Siniakova retrieved one of the breaks in game six and trailed 2-4,
Fernandez saved six break points in the eighth game before holding serve to lead 5-3.
She served out the set 6-4.
In the decider, Fernandez broke serve in the first gsme.
She saved three break points in game three before holding and retaining the break advantage.
Games six through nine saw service breaks, leaving Fernandez ahead 5-4 with service to come.
Leylah Fernandez served out the match 3-6 6-4 6-4, claiming her third title, and first since Monterrey in March 2022.
