Final:

Katerina Siniakova (Czech Republic) v Elena Rybakina (3) (Kazakhstan)

In the six previous encounters between the players, Rybakina won four times, including the last three.
The most recent match was second round in Madrid earlier this year.

Rybakina raced to a 5-0 lead in this final, breaking Siniakova in the second and fourth games.
Siniakova retrieved one of the breaks when Rybakina was serving for the set at 5-1.

At 5-3, in her second attempt to serve out the set, Rybakina saw three set points disappear, and finally Siniakova broke with her first chance.
Games were back on serve.

Serving at 4-5 to stay in the set, Siniakova saved two more set points before holding and levelling at 5-5.

A tie break was required, and at 4-5, with two serves to come, Siniakova lost both points and the set. Rybakina ahead 7-6(4).

Both players saved break points early in set two, but Rybakina was the one to actually break in the seventh and lead 4-3.
Trying to consolidate, Rybakina saved two break points, but couldn’t save a third and scores were 4-4.

A second tie break arrived.

Rybakina found herself down 3-6. She saved two set points with two of her own serves, but Siniakova clinched the set with the next serve 7-6(5).

In the decider, Siniakova broke in the fifth game, then consolidated for a 4-2 lead.
Rybakina broke back and levelled for 4-4.

The very next game saw Siniakova break again and she served out the match 6-7(4) 7-6(5) 6-4.

For Katerina Siniakova, this was the third title from seven finals, and the first since her second Swedish Open in July 2017.
