ATP - Tel Aviv 1R almost complete

First round almost completed in Tel Aviv.

2022 Tel Aviv Watergen Open, an ATP 250 tournament, on Hard Indoor, in Tel Aviv, Israel, 26 September - 2 October 2022.

This is the first time the tournament has been held at ATP Tour level since 1996, when Javier Sanchez (4) defeated Marcos Ondruska 6-4 7-5 in the final.

Peter Gojowczyk withdrew after the main draw was published due to a shoulder injury, and was replaced by lucky loser Vasek Pospisil.
Gojowczyk’s place in the draw was taken by qualifier Edan Leshem.
Pospisil took the place in the draw originally allocated to a qualifier, and would play Tallon Griekspoor (8).

First round results:
- Qualifier Edan Leshem defeated wildcard Yshai Oliel 6-3 6-2
- Lucky loser Vasek Pospisil defeated Tallon Griekspoor (8) 4-6 7-6(3) 7-5
- Arthur Rinderknech defeated qualifier Marius Copil 6-7(5) 6-4 6-3
- Tomas Martin Etcheverry defeated Aslan Karatsev (6) 6-2 6-7(0) 6-4
- Emil Ruusuvuori defeated J.J. Wolf 6-3 6-2
- Sebastian Korda defeated qualifier Cem Ilkel 6-4 6-4
- Botic van de Zandschulp (5) defeated Joao Sousa 6-2 6-3
- Qualifier Liam Broady defeated wildcard Hamad Mededovic 7-5 6-3
