Final:
Jenson Brooksby (4) (USA) v Reilly Opelka (2) (USA)
Brooksby won the only previous meeting between the pair - Antwerp, October 2021.
Brooksby, in his second final, was aiming to win his first ATP title.
Opelka, in his fourth final, was hoping for a third title, his last coming in Delray Beach, February 2020.
In set one, there were six love games, three apiece, and only one break point was faced - Opelka saved it in the third game.
A tie break was inevitable and at 2-3, Brooksby lost both points on his serve, meaning Opelka led 5-2 with two serves to come.
At 6-2, and with four set points, Opelka saw three of them disappear.
He managed to serve it out though on the fourth and take the set 7-6(5).
Brooksby saved a break point in the opening game of set two, and no more break points were faced through ten games.
When Brooksby served at 5-5, he survived five deuces and saved four break points before holding serve.
Opelka threw in a love game and there was another tie break.
Brooksby lost the first point - on his own serve - thereafter points went with serve until Brooksby was serving at 3-5. He lost that point and Opelka now had three match points.
He only needed one, and Reilly Opelka won the Dallas Open 7-6(5) 7-6(3).
