Final:
Barbora Krejcikova (1) (Czech Republic) v Jelena Ostapenko (2) (Latvia)
Ostapenko won four of the six previous matches between the players, including the most recent - third round Rome in May this year.
Krejcikova saved a break point in game six of the opening set before holding for 3-3.
Ostapenko saved two break points in the next game and still games remained on serve.
After that, neither player taken to deuce and a tie break was necessary.
In an even tie break, Ostapenko had the chance to win it when serving at 6-5, but Krejcikova won the point.
When serving at 8-9, Krejcikova lost the point, and Ostapenko won the tie break and the set 7-6(8).
Ostapenko broke serve in the opening game of set two.
The Latvian player broke again in the fifth game for a 4-1 advantage.
Ostapenko served for the match at 5-2 but Krejcikova broke serve.
Ostapenko served for the match again at 5-4 and this time was successful, winning 7-6(8) 6-4.
This was title number six for Ostapenko, her first since Dubai in February 2022
