Sinner led the head to head 2-1 between the players before this final.
He won the most recent match - a quarter final in Beijing last year.
Sinner saved a break point in game four of set one, then levelled at 2-2.
He broke Dimitrov in the following game for 3-2.
Dimitrov saved two break points in the seventh game and held, but still trailed 3-4.
Serving at 3-5 to stay in the set, Dimitrov was broken again.
Sinner took the set 6-3.
Sinner broke in the fourth game of set two and consolidated in the following game for 4-1.
He broke Dimitrov in the sixth game for 5-1, then served out the match 6-3 6-1.
Title number thirteen for Jannik Sinner, second at Masters 1000 level.
Third title in 2924.
Sinner now will have a career high ranking of #2.
