Berrettini saved a break point in the second game of the match.
Players exchanged breaks of serve in the fourth and fifth games of the opening set.
Carballes Baena was ahead 3-2 with games on serve.
Serving at 5-5 Carballes Baena was broken.
Serving for the set, Berrettini was down 0-40, but won the next five points to take the set 7-5.
Berrettini saved three break points in game two of set two before holding serve.
He broke Carballes Baena in games three and five to lead 4-1.
Serving at 1-5 to stay in the match, Carballes Baena held on.
However the following game saw Berrettini finish things by serving out the match 7-5 6-2.
