This is the first time the tournament has been played since 2016, then as the BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy.

Fernando Verdasco who defeated Lucas Pouille 6-3 6-2

First round results:

- Qualifier Gregoire Barrere defeated Thanasi Kokkinakis 7-5 6-3

Second round results:

- Qualifier Radu Albot led wildcard Joao Fonseca 1-0 when rain stopped play
