Qualifier Tatjana Maria who defeated qualifier Laura Pigossi 6-3 4-6 6-2
Final:
Peyton Stearns (USA) v Tatjana Maria (2) (Germany)
This would be the first meeting between the players, and first final for Stearns.
Maria had won two titles from her previous two finals appearances, including this tournament last year.
Maria converted the second of two break points in the fourth game to lead 3-1.
She then saved a break point when serving at 4-2, before holding for 5-2.
Stearns held serve, forcing Maria to serve for the set.
The second seed managed that for the loss of just one point, and led 6-3.
Maria achieved a break in game three of set two, but Stearns immediately broke back to level at 2-2.
Stearns broke again in the sixth game, then consolidated for a 5-2 lead.
Maria, serving to stay in the set, was broken for a third successive time, and Stearns levelled the match at 3-6 6-2.
Stearns saved three break points in the third game of the decider, but was broken in the fifth game.
Maria led 3-2.
Tatjana Maria served at 5-4 for the match, and despite a double fault on her first match point, the defending champion won the day 6-3 2-6 6-4.
