Tianjin - WTA International

The next week - three tournaments will be contested across the ATP and WTA Tours. The big one is the 2019 ATP Masters 1000 event in Shanghai.

The following players withdrew after entering but before the main draw was published:

After the main draw was published, top seed Sofia Kenin withdrew with a thigh injury.

She was replaced by lucky loser Wang Xinyu.

The draw was rearranged with qualifier Wang Xiyu taking the spot previously occupied by Kenin.


Wang Qiang, world number 22, is second and now highest seed.

The other seeds are all in the top 42
