Ana Bogdan (8) (Romania) v Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic)
Pliskova won all three previous matches between the pair:
Most recently qualifying in Doha last year.
Bogdan broke in game two of the opening set.
She consolidated to lead 3-0.
Pliskova broke back in the fifth game and trailed 2-3.
She saved two break points in the next game and levelled at 3-3.
Bogdan saved four break points in the ninth game, but couldn’t save a fifth.
Pliskova broke and led 5-4.
A love game on serve and Pliskova won the set 6-4.
Pliskova broke in the fifth game of set two to lead 3-2.
Bogdan served at 3-5 to stay in the match but was broken.
Karolina Pliskova won the match 6-4 6-3 and claimed her seventeenth title.
It was her first since Brisbane in January 2020.
