Linette won the only previous match between the players - quarter final in the 2020 Thailand Open.
First WTA Tour final for Wang Xiyu.
In this final Wang Xiyu faced no break points in the opening set and broke all three of Linette’s service games.
The set went to Wang Xiyu 6-0.
Wang Xiyu broke Linette in the opening game of set two.
Linette broke back in the fourth game and it was 2-2.
Wang Xiyu broke again in the fifth and seventh games to lead 5-2.
She served out the match 6-0 6-2 to claim her first WTA Tour title.
