Ruud wins title in Geneva

Final day in Geneva.
Including unplayed semi final.

Nicolas Jarry who defeated wildcard Grigor Dimitrov (4) 7-6(1) 6-1 

Semi final results:

Casper,Ruud (2) defeated Flavio Cobolli 1-6 6-1 7-6(4)

Final:

Tomas Machac (Czech Republic) v Casper Ruud (2) (Norway)

Defeating the world number one enabled Machac to reach his first ATP Tour final.

Machac broke in game three of the opening set to lead 2-1.
No more break chances until Machac served for the set at 5-4.
Ruud broke back after saving a set point, and it was all square at 5-5.

Serving at 5-6 to stay in the set, Machac was broken, and Ruud took the set 7-5.

Ruud broke serve in game two of set two to lead 2-0.
No more break opportunities, and Ruud served out the match 7-5 6-3

Title number 12 for Casper Ruud, and second for 2024, following Barcelona in April.
