Kasatkina wins Eastbourne title

Final day in Eastbourne.

Madison Keys who defeated Daria Kasatkina (9) 6-2 7-6(13)

Final:

Leylah Fernandez (Canada) v Daria Kasatkina (6) (Russia)

Kasatkina won both previous matches between the players.
Most recently - first round San Diego 2022.

Kasatkina broke serve in game one of set one,
She consolidated for 2-0.

In an eleven deuce sixth game, Kasatkina saved three break points before holding for 4-2.
Fernandez saved three break points in the following game, and held for 3-4.

Serving at 3-5 to stay in the set, Fernandez was broken again, and Kasatkina took the set 6-3.

Kasatkina broke in game two of set two for 2-0.
She saved four break points and then held for 3-0.
Fernandez broke back in the fifth game. 2-3.

Fernandez broke again in the seventh game to lead 4-3.
Kasatkina broke back immediately and levelled 4-4.

Serving at 4-5 to stay in the match, Fernandez was broken.

Daria Kasatkina won the match 6-3 6-4.

Title number seven for Kasatkina, and first since Granby, Canada in August 2022.
Since Granby, Kasatkina had contested five losing finals (3 this year) until now.
