Final:
Qualifier Lauren Davis (USA) v Elisabetta Cocciaretto (Italy)
In the one previous meeting between the pair, Cocciaretto won in qualifying in Guadalajara in 2021.
In set one of the final, both players faced and saved break points until the inevitable tie break.
Davis cleaned up in the tie break, winning all the points and taking the set 7-6(0).
Riding the momentum, Davis broke the Cocciaretto serve twice in set two and raced to a 5-0 lead.
Cocciaretto won the next two games to love, including breaking Davis when the American served for the match.
However, serving at 2-5, Cocciaretto was broken once more and Davis was victorious 7-6(0) 6-2.
This was the second WTA Tour title for Davis, and adds to her debut win in Auckland in January 2017.
