The final of the Western & Southern Open wasn’t held because of a Naomi Osaka hamstring injury.

2020 Western & Southern Open - a WTA Premier 5 category tournament, on Hard, Laykold, in New York City, 22-28 August 2020.

Defending champion:

Madison Keys (16) who defeated wildcard Sveta Kuznetsova 7-5 7-6(5)

Final result:

Victoria Azarenka was handed a walkover by wildcard Naomi Osaka (4) due to a hamstring injury.

So all the statistics relating to finals for both players are redundant. However, Azarenka still records her 21st title and second Western & Southern Open.

The victory enables a jump of 32 spots in the rankings to #27.

Not much rest before the US Open begins.
