Maria Camila Osorio Serrano (Colombia) v Ann Li (USA)
This was the first WTA match between the pair.
Ann Li had not played in a final before, although she shared the Grampians Trophy in February this year with Anett Kontaveit after the final was cancelled.
It was the second final for Maria following her victory in Colombia in April this year.
After dropping serve in the opening game of the match, Ann Li won five games in succession, breaking in all three of the Colombian service games.
Serving for the set, Li had to save three break points, which she did, securing the set 6-1.
In set two games were 1-1 after players exchanged service breaks.
Only one more break point was on offer for the match, and Li converted it successfully in the fifth game.
The American only surrendered a further four points on serve for the match, serving it out 6-1 6-4.
The title allowed Ann Li to move up 12 spots to a career high ranking of #48.
Maria Camila Osorio Serrano gained 10 places to also claim a new career high ranking - #53.
