Grass Court Season is here

We have turned quickly from the Roland Garros clay into the grass court season.

This week tournaments are being held in:


s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands: the Libema Open for men (ATP 250 category) and women (WTA International category)


Stuttgart, Germany: the Mercedes Cup (ATP 250 category )


Nottingham, England: the Nature Valley Open (WTA International category)


s-Hertogenbosch:

Men

Adrian Mannarino, ranked 26, is the top seed, and the other seeds are all in the top 50.

So far, Robin Haase (6) and Yuichi Sugita (7) have won first round matches but Andreas Seppi (8) lost his opener to wildcard Mackenzie McDonald.

The top four seeds have byes 


Women

CoCo Vandeweghe, ranked 15, is the top seed, and the other seeds are all in the top 50 - four of the eight are in the top 30.

To date, CoCo Vandeweghe (1), Elise Mertens (2), Kiki Bertens (3), Alison Van Uytvanck (6), Aleksandra Krunic (7) and Aryna Sabalenka (8) have advanced to the second round, while Anett Kontaveit (4) and Shuai Zhang (5) were eliminated.


Stuttgart:

Roger Federer, ranked 2, is the top seed, and the other seeds are all in the top 40.

Philipp Kohlschreiber (5) is the only seed to fall in the first round so far.

The top four seeds have byes.


Nottingham:

Ash Barty, ranked 17, is the top seed, and the other seeds are all in the top 50.

To date, Ash Barty (1), Magdaléna Rybáriková (2), Naomi Osaka (3), Mihaela Buzarnescu (5) and Donna Vekic (6) all progressed to the second round, but Zarina Diyas (7) and Camila Giorgi (8) were not so fortunate.
