The players exchanged service breaks in games three and four of the opening game of the match.

Swiatek broke serve in game six to lead 4-2.
Serving at 2-5 to stay in the set, Schmiedlova was broken and Swiatek took the set 6-2.
Swiatek broke serve in game four of set two.and led 3-1.
She broke serve again in game six to lead 5-1.
Iga Swiatek served out the match 6-2 6-1 and won the bronze medal for Poland.
