The players exchanged service breaks in games two and three of the opening set.

Xiyu led 2-1 with games on serve.

Yue saved two break points in game four before holding serve for 2-2.

Yue broke serve to lead 3-2, then saved two break points on the way to consolidating at 4-2.

No more break chances and Yue served out the set 6-4.

Yue saved two break points in game two of set two and held for 1-1.

There were three successive breaks of serve to follow and Yue led 3-2.

Yue broke again in the seventh game for a 5-2 advantage.

Xiyu broke back when Yue was serving for the match, and trailed 3-5,

Serving to stay in the match, Xiyu saved three match points and held for 4-5.

Serving again for the match, Yue was broken and scores were 5-5.

A tie break was required, and quickly Yue was out to a 6-1 lead.

Xiyu saved four match points, but not a fifth, and Yuan Yue won her first WTA Tour title 6-4 7-6(4).
