Roland Garros 2020 - Day 3 Women’s Singles

Day Three of Roland Garros 2020, and the first round of women’s singles was completed.
Second seed Karolina Pliskova was taken the distance by Egyptian qualifier Mayar Sherif, but survived as did all the big names on show.
Seeds to fall were Alison Riske (19), Jennifer Brady (21) and Donna Vekić (26). Brady and Vekić lost to qualifiers ranked 188 and 142 respectively.
Riske was unlucky to draw Julia Goerges, currently ranked 41, but as recently as October 2018 a top ten player and still top twenty in July last year.
