de Minaur had failed to defeat Sinner in nine previous attempts.
No semi finals yet at Grand Slam level for de Minaur.
Sinner broke in the fourth game of set one to lead 3-1.
No more break chances and Sinner served the set out 6-3.
Sinner broke in the opening game of set two.
He saved a break point before holding for 2-0.
Sinner broke de Minaur again in game five to lead 4-1.
He went on to serve out the set 6-2.
In set three, Sinner faced no break points on his serve.
He did break the de Minaur serve three times however.
Jannik Sinner won the match 6-3 6-2 6-1.
He advanced to the semi finals of the 2025 Australian Open.
