Adelaide - WTA and ATP

The final week before the Australian Open is highlighted by the Adelaide International, a tournament featuring both ATP and WTA competition.
It effectively replaces what had been the Sydney International, that change due to the ATP Cup use of the Sydney venue.

The following players withdrew after entering but before the main draw was published:

 

- Novak Djokovic replaced by Pierre-Hugues Herbert 

- Lucas Pouille replaced by Alexander Bublik


Alex de Minaur, world number 21, is top seed.

The other 7 seeds are all in the top 38

The top 4 seeds have first round byes.

- Johanna Konta replaced by Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 

- Petra Martic replaced by Hsieh Su-Wei

- Alison Riske replaced by lucky loser Tatjana Maria

- Venus Williams replaced by wildard and fourth seed Belinda Bencic


Ashleigh Barty, world number 1, is top seed.

The other 7 seeds are all in the top 16.

The top 2 seeds have first round byes.
