Shapovalov broke serve in the opening game of set one.
No more break chances until Kovacevic was serving to stay in the set at 3-5.
He held and trailed 4-5.
Shapovalov served out the set 6-4.
Kovacevic saved three break points in the opening game of set two.
He couldn’t save a fourth and was broken.
Shapovalov saved a break point in game six and held for 4-2.
Kovacevic dropped serve in the following game.
Shapovalov served out the set and match 6-4 6-2.
