ATP - Munich 1R start

First round commenced in Munich.

Defending champion:
Jan-Lennard Struff (4) who defeated Taylor Fritz (3) 7-5 6-3

Seventh seed Jiri Lehecka withdrew after the main draw was published, and was replaced by lucky loser Christopher O’Connell.
Nuno Borges withdrew after the main draw was published due to a wrist injury, and was replaced by lucky loser Billy Harris.
Alejandro Tabilo withdrew after the main draw was published due to a wrist injury, and was replaced by lucky loser Botic van de Zandschulp.
Quentin Halys withdrew after the main draw was published due to a leg injury, and was replaced by lucky loser Alexander Shevchenko.
