Stefanos Tsitsipas (12) who defeated Casper Ruud (8) 6-1 6-4
The following players withdrew after entering but before the main draw was published:
- Taylor Fritz replaced by Roberto Bautista Agut
- Hubert Hurkacz replaced by Miomir Kecmanovic
Alexander Zverev, world number 2, is top seed.
