In between, Sakkari surrendered serve twice, and the opening set was delivered to Azarenka swiftly 6-1.

Set two began in similar fashion, Azarenka breaking twice to lead 3-0, then surviving two break points to consolidate 4-0.

Sakkari saved a break point which would have meant 0-5, and instead broke to love in the following game.

At 4-3, Azarenka avoided a break chance, and held to be one game from the final.

Serving to stay alive, Sakkari wasted a game point, and Azarenka won the final two points claiming victory 6-1 6-3.

Aryna Sabalenka (3) (Belarus) v Jennifer Brady (USA)

The pair hadn’t played each other before, and Sabalenka was the first to receive a break opportunity.

She converted in the third game. Consolidating wasn’t easy, and the Belarusian survived three break points offered to Brady to level the clash.

Sabalenka broke a second time to lead 4-1, and soon she was serving at 5-2 for the set.

Brady broke, but on the second time serving for it, Sabalenka contributed a love game and led 6-4.

Sabalenka broke serve in the first game of set two, and for six games thereafter deuce wasn’t visited.

At 4-3, Sabalenka saved two break points to lead 5-3.

Eventually Aryna Sabalenka served out the match 6-4 6-4.

Final will be Victoria Azarenka (4) v Aryna Sabalenka (3)
