Zhuhai - WTA Elite Trophy

This week the ATP Tour heads to Austria and Switzerland, before finishing off the season with the Masters 1000 in Paris next week and the ATP Finals in London the week after that.
Meanwhile, the WTA season is finished for all but the top ranked players. Next week will see the top eight contest the WTA Finals in Shenzhen, and this week the next group of women, ranked immediately below the top eight, fight for the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai.

WTA Elite Trophy - a WTA tournament contested by the top players not qualified for the WTA Finals, on Hard, in Zhuhai, China, 22-27 October 2019.

Defending champion:

Ash Barty (9) who defeated Wang Qiang (11) 6-3 6-4
