- Rebecca Peterson defeated Ons Jabeur 0-6 6-4 7-5
- Heather Watson defeated Veronika Kudermetova 6-1 6-4,
and will play Rebecca Peterson in the final.
This will be the fourth WTA Tour final for the Brit, Watson, having won all the other three, 2012 in Osaka, 2015 in Hobart, and 2016 in Monterrey. All were unseeded finals, as is this one coming up.
Sweden’s Peterson made her first final last month in Nanchang and won easily against Rybakina.
The pair have met just once, Peterson successful in straight sets in Wuhan just a couple of weeks back.
