It wasn’t held in 2020 due to COVID, and hadn’t been held again until now,

Sabalenka won all three of the previous meetings between the players.
Most recently it was a quarter final at the 2024 US Open.
Sabalenka broke serve in game six of set one and led 4-2.
Zheng Qinwen served at 2-5 to stay in the set, and held for 3-5.
Sabalenka served out the set 6-3.
Players exchanged breaks of serve in games three and four of set two.
Games were 2-2.

Zheng Qinwen broke serve in game eight to lead 5-3.
Sabalenka broke back for 4-5.
Sabalenka served at 5-6 to stay in the set but was broken, and Zheng Qinwen won the set 7-5.

She consolidated to lead 2-0.

Zheng Qinwen retrieved one of the breaks in game four and trailed 1-3.
She saved a break point in the next game and held for 2-3.

Serving to stay in the match, Zheng Qinwen was broken and Sabalenka won the match 6-3 5-7 6-3.
