In this final, Lamens held serve each of three times in set one, without facing a break point.
Birrell was broken all of the three times she served, and Lamens took the set 6-0.
Service breaks were exchanged in games one and two of set two.
Lamens saved two break points in game three and held for 2-1.
Birrell broke in game five to lead 3-2.
Lamens broke back immediately and levelled at 3-3.
Serving at 4-5 to stay in the match, Birrell was broken.
