Fritz won the only previous match between the players - Basel first round 2023.

First final at ATP Tour level for Purcell.

No break points faced by either player for nine games of set one.

Serving at 4-5 to stay in the set, Purcell was broken, and Fritz won the set 6-4.

Purcell saved three break points in game two of set two, and held for 1-1.

Fritz broke serve in game six and led 4-2.

Serving for the match at 5-3, Fritz waited until the fourth match point to clinch the title 6-4 6-3.
