Titles to Sabalenka and Alexandrova

Titles were decided in Wuhan and Tashkent.

Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open - a WTA Premier 5 category tournament, on Hard Deco Turf, in Wuhan, China, 22-28 September 2019.

Defending champion:

Aryna Sabalenka who defeated Anett Kontaveit 6-3 6-3


Final result 


- Aryna Sabalenka (9) successfully defended her title by defeating Alison Riske 6-3 3-6 6-1.

The record for Sabalenka in Wuhan is now 12-0, and in her third final for 2019 she has grabbed her second title, adding to January’s Shenzhen success. 

No ranking change for Sabalenka, but Riske jumps 11 places to a career high of #24, previously #32.


Tashkent Open - a WTA International category tournament, on Hard Casali Sport, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 23-28 September 2019.

Defending champion:

Margarita Gasparyan who defeated qualifier Anastasia Potapova 6-2 6-1


Final result 


-  Alison Van Uytvanck (3) defeated Sorana Cîrstea (8) 6-2 4-6 6-4

This was the fourth title for Van Uytvanck, and second for 2019, following victory in Budapest in February.

The win shoots the Belgian 17 places back into the top fifty at #44, while Cirstea jumps 21 spots to #75.
