Djere wins Chile Open

Final day in Santiago.

2025 Movistar Chile Open, an ATP 250 tournament, on Clay Outdoor, Santiago, Chile, 24 February - 2 March 2025.

Defending champion:
Sebastian Baez (2) who defeated Alejandro Tabilo (4) 3-6 6-0 6-4

Final:

Laslo Djere (Serbia) v Sebastian Baez (3) (Argentina)

Baez won the two previous matches between the players.
The more recent being a quarter final in the 2023 Winston-Salem tournament.

Djere broke serve in the opening game of set one.
Baez broke back in game four for 2-2.

Baez saved two break points in game seven and held for 4-3.

Djere broke serve in game nine and led 5-4.
Serving for the set he saved two break points.
Eventually he held and took the set 6-4.

No break chances through six games of set two.

Baez saved a break point in game seven and held for 4-3.
He broke serve in the following game.
Then Baez served out the set 6-3.

Djere saved a break point in game five of the decider.
He held for 3-2.
Breaks of serve occurred in the next four games.
Djere led 5-4.

Baez served at 5-6 to stay in the match.
He was broken and the match ended.

Laslo Djere won 6-4 3-6 7-5.

Title number 3, and first since Sardegna Open in October 2020.
