Final in Dubai.
2021 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships - an ATP 500 tournament, on Hard Outdoor, in Doha, Qatar, 14-20 March 2021.
2020 champion (not defending):
Novak Djokovic (1) who defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas (2) 6-3 6-4
Final:
Wildcard Aslan Karatsev (Russia) defeated qualifier Lloyd Harris (South Africa) 6-3 6-2
Karatsev was outstanding throughout the tournament, and put his stamp on a wonderful week with another memorable performance in the final.
The Russian, who began 2021, ranked 112, but stunningly made the Australian Open semi final as a qualifier, only to be stopped by Djokovic, broke the Harris opening serve in both sets, and was never broken himself.
He will now move to a ranking of #27 thanks to his first ATP title in a debut final.
Harris, in his second career final, has done enough to jump 29 spots to a career high ranking of #52.
