This is the first edition of the Hangzhou Ooen as a tournament on the ATP Tour.
It replaces the Zhuhai Championships on the ATP Tour calendar.

Wildcard Marin Cilic defeated Brandon Nakashima (4) 6-4 7-6(6)
Zhang Zhizhen (6) defeated wildcard Bu Yunchaokete 7-6(3) 6-4
Final will be between:
Wildcard Marin Cilic (Croatia) v Zhang Zhizhen (6) (China)
