Zanevska wins Poland Open

Final in Gdynia.

2021 BNP Paribas Poland Open a WTA 250 tournament, on Clay, in Gdynia, Poland, 19-25 July 2021.
No defending champion:
This is a new tournament on the WTA calendar.
Poland previously had the Polsat Warsaw Open until it was abolished after 2010, the year in which Alexandra Dulgheru won the tournament (replaced by the Brussels Open from 2011-2013)

Maryna Zanevska (Belgium) defeated Kristina Kucova (Slovakia) 6-4 7-6(4)


Gdynia was the first WTA final and title for experienced Zanevska. Until now she has enjoyed a successful career on the ITF Circuit, with 18 titles from 30 finals, the first in Brussels in 2009 as a 15 year old.
