Last edition of the tournament was in 2013, won by Simona Halep when it was known as the Budapest Grand Prix (replaced by the Bucharest Open from 2014 -2019)
Final:
Yulia Putintseva (1) (Kazakhstan) defeated Anhelina Kalinina (Ukraine) 6-4 6-0
This was the second WTA title for Putintseva from four finals, following her first in Nuremberg in May 2019.
