Sinner wins 2024 ATP Finals

2024 ATP Finals - final day in Turin.

2024 Nitto ATP Finals, the ATP season ending championship, on Hard Indoor, Turin, Italy, 10-17 November 2024.

2023 champion (not defending):
Novak Djokovic (1) who defeated Jannik Sinner (4) 6-3 6-3

The field consists of the top 8 singles players based on results throughout the season.
Qualified players are split into two groups of four and participate in a round robin event.
Each player meets the other three players in her group with the winner and runner-up in each group advancing to the semi finals.
1st in one group plays 2nd in other group.
The semi final winners meet in the championship match.

Final:

Jannik Sinner (1) (Italy) v Taylor Fritz (5) (USA)

Sinner won three of the previous four matches between the players.
This includes a round robin match at this years ATP Finals.

In the final, no service break chances through six games of set one.

Sinner broke serve in game seven to lead 4-3.

Fritz served at 3-5 to stay in the set, and held for 4-5.
Sinner served out the set 6-4.

Sinner broke serve in game five of set two, and led 3-2.

Fritz served at 3-5 to stay in the match, and held for 4-5.

Sinner served out the match 6-4 6-4.

Jannik Sinner finished the year as number one, and appropriately celebrated by winning the final tournament.

The ATP Finals title was Sinner’s eighth for the year, which also included Grand Slam successes in Melbourne and New York.
