This is a new tournament on the ATP calendar

Final:

- Adrian Mannarino (3) (France) v John Millman (4) (Australia)

Millman had won both of the two previous meetings between the pair, including at the Cincinnati Masters held in New York in August this year.

The opening set in the Astana Open final began with a love game on serve for Millman, and no break points were seen for eight games.

At 4-4, the Australian fought off three, and at 5-5, he saved another two, and led 6-5.

Mannarino, who had not been taken to deuce since the second game, found himself down 30-40 when serving to stay in the set, and Millman converted the set point to lead 7-5.

The longest game of the match was the fourth in set two, where Mannarino failed to convert a game point, and then after saving three break points, saw Millman use the fourth to extend his lead to 3-1.

A second break and Millman went to the line to serve for the match leading 5-1.

After saving a break point, John Millman only needed one match point to collect his first ATP title 7-5 6-1.
